the meandering corpse, richard prather

His name is Shell Scott, a private investigator residing in Los Angeles. He has a penchant for blondes, redheads, brunettes, and for getting into trouble. He also keeps tropical fish, lives in a bachelor apartment with a nude lady (over the fireplace) and mixes a lethal Martini. In bars he usually drinks good Bourbon. He spends much of his time in bars because he associates with bad guys - hoods, murderers, blackmailers, stoolies - and he usually pays for his own drinks because they like him less than he does them.

1966.
